Rochas Okorocha's stupidity knows no bounds!

Rochas Okorocha's stupidity knows no bounds!
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has once again brought his stupidity to the fore. In a widely circulated video (shown below) where Okorocha was addressing the southeast  caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Okorocha blasted Ndi Igbo for what he described as "their myopic way of thinking" that has cost them the positions of the President of the Nigerian Senate or the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives. Okorocha's argument was that since Igbos rejected APC senators such as Chris Ngige and Osita Izunaso, who could have been made Senate president Ndi Igbo has lost out in the Nigerian political arrangement.

Okorocha's vituperation  amply demonstrates his frustration, desperation, stupidity and selfishness. His line of thinking is just but another selfish and short-sighted way of seeing things that many Igbo politicians have towed the lines for decades. This line of thinking has continued to stop Igbos from freeing themselves from Nigeria.

It was this sort of warped and half-measure mentality that propelled Dr. Alex Ekwueme to join the northern-controlled National Party of Nigeria (NPN). Ekwueme served Shehu as the the Vice President with the hope that after 8 years he will be supported to become the president. However, that was not to happen. Muhammadu Buahri and his northern colleagues struck to stop Ekwueme on his tracks.

Okorocha spoke about the positions of the Senate President and Speaker of the House as if it was a very important an ultimate prize. Haven't the Igbos attained such positions in the past? Of what use was that to the average Igbo man on the street? As a matter of fact Igbos produced four senate presidents between 1999 and 2007 (Evan Enwerem, Chuba Okadigbo, Pius Anyim and Adolf Wagbara). Can anyone point at any legacy that has left in Igbo Land?

So why is Okorcha prancing up and down? Okorocha is merely using that as an excuse to save his seat as Imo State governor. He has seen the handwritting on the wall. Even his Orlu zone voted against the APC. Like a drowning man, Okorocha is clutching at straws.

Lets assume Ngige or Osita Izunaso becomes the senate president. What leverage do they have in such positions against northern interests? Ngige being the senate president in a largely northern-controlled senate is nonsensical. Can he impeach the president if he goes after Igbo interests? Ngige will rather continue to defer to his northern colleagues. So why the fuss?

Okorocha and co and happy for the igbos to present a boy-boy senate president and speaker that will bring Ndi Igbo to further ridicule! Aru eme!!

Okorocha forgot that he rushed to join the All Progressives Congress, with the hope he would be chosen to become Buhari's running mate. He forgot his disappointment when he was rather jettisoned by the partyand Yemi Osinbajo taken. If he wasn't good for the vice presidency, of what use is the position of the senate President or the Speaker of the House of Assembly? David Mark has been the senate president for 8 years, what benefit has that brought to Benue State or the Middlebelt in general?

In Nigeria, the only position that matters is the presidency. Even the vice presidency position is as good as useless. That was the reason the north who had the vice presidential position rejected it.

Ndi Imo should on the 11 of April shove this modern day Ukpabi Asika out of the Douglas House.

It is however baffling that the proponents of the so called "One Nigeria" are the ones that are deeply troubled that Igbos cannot be Senate President or Speaker of the House of Representatives. The question is why would they be troubled so much since Nigeria is one? Does it matter  if the Hausa's and Yorubas occupy the entire positions since Nigeria is one?
